Description: Miyabi Kyoto’s brings the beloved Japanese tradition of hibachi cooking right to your table. The chef, usually an authentic personality from Asia, wows diners with tricks of his trade—knife juggling and flipping tiny shrimp tails from a spatula to a small bowl high atop his chef’s hat. All entrees are served with salad (the gingerroot house dressing is the way to go) and a delicate onion soup. The main course of chicken, beef, or seafood and a variety of vegetables are diced and cooked right before your eyes. It’s so satisfying, you’ll literally have to push yourself away from the table. A trip to either Miyabi location is best enjoyed with a group and is a great way to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, or other special occasion. Try the sushi bar, if you dare, and spring for a glass of sweet plum wine. Miyabi serves dinner only, and reservations are strongly suggested; the lines can be murderous. But after all, good things are worth waiting for.
