Description: The University of Phoenix offers Bachelor of Science degrees in business administration, accounting, management, and business information systems and a Master of Science in computer information systems, nursing, and education. Its program, intended for working adults, has been available in Santa Fe since 1989, and now occupies its own building off South St. Francis Drive. The Santa Fe programs enroll up to 200 students and are popular for the flexibility and the concentration of academic material they offer their students.Founded nationally in 1976, University of Phoenix structures its classes to build on the professional experience of working adults. Nationwide, the college enrolls more students than any other private university in the United States and has served more than 400,000 students. In addition to classroom programs, the university offers computer-based education and distance learning, using the Internet and other high-tech tools. In addition to Santa Fe, the university has a main campus in Albuquerque and offers classes in several locations throughout the state. Class enrollment is held in the fall and again in January.
