Its faux-adobe, Pueblo-style architecture is complemented by furniture, doors, windows, corbels, and light fixtures that are 13th-century replicas handcrafted by local artisans. Even the interior wall mural incorporates designs and symbols found in New Mexico’s Pueblo and Spanish artistry, as well as in ancient petroglyphs and weavings. The Inn and Spa at Loretto is among the most photographed buildings in Santa Fe during the winter months, when its rooftops and balconies light up with electric farolitos—a permanent version of the traditional candle-in-a-paper-bag Christmas decoration that has become an internationally recognized symbol of Santa Fe.The inn’s 129 guest rooms and five suites feature individual climate control, refrigerators, in-room coffee service, speaker phones with data jacks, WiFi, and semiprivate balconies with spectacular sunset and mountain views.
