Description: Located in the scenic volcanic foothills of the Jémez Mountains, this 18-hole, par 72 course designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. ranks in the top 50 nationwide among public golf courses. Golfers play roughly 50,000 rounds a year here on scenic bluegrass fairways and bent-grass greens and tees. In July 2000, major renovations on and off the green, including a new three-level clubhouse with restaurant and full-service pro shop, were made by Jones. Championship tees now play at 6,805 yards, back tees at 6,429 yards, and middle tees at 5,932 yards. Guests pay a $29 to $60 greens fee. Pueblo de Cochití Golf Course is open sunup to sundown year-round, weather permitting.
