Description: Founded in 2005, this Wolfgang Puck establishment serves spectacularly good Pan-Asian cuisine with a panoramic view of Loring Park, the Basilica of St. Mary, and downtown Minneapolis from its second-floor perch in the new wing of the Walker Art Center. (The name of the restaurant is taken from the Walker’s emphasis on 20th- and 21st-century art.) The menu features local ingredients in season and has influences from many Asian cultures, including Chinese, Indian, Japanese, Thai, and Korean. Such dishes as miso-sake glazed black cod and grilled Mongolian lamb chops will make you feel wonderful inside, perhaps even good enough to stomach the hefty check your waitperson will bring. Desserts are also memorable here, especially when complemented with one of 20.21’s many ports, single-malt scotches, cognacs, or martinis. The restaurant is open Tuesday through Saturday for lunch and dinner, and Sunday for brunch and dinner.
