Description: As a visitor, the one place you’ll probably go for steamed crabs is Obrycki’s because “everyone” will ask where you had crabs and they’ll be disappointed for you if you didn’t try this restaurant that’s been open since 1944. When eating steamed crabs, be prepared to sit at a table covered with brown craft paper with paper towels and mallets at the ready. Obrycki’s can be a cozy place for a crab cake, too. Brick and wood paneling make the room feel warmer, and with the friendly waitstaff here you’re going to feel like family in no time. Because they use only Chesapeake Bay blue crabs, Obrycki’s is open only between March and November. Put together a hot, steamy day and some hot steamed crabs and realize the place can be really, really busy. Reservations, which can be made online, are a good idea at all times. The restaurant serves lunch and dinner, starting at 11:30 a.m. and continuing through to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, until 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and to 9:30 p.m. on Sunday. Parking is available at a lot across the street. You can order crabs, crab cakes, etc., online or pick up a six pack ($69.95) at the airport.
