Description: Burke’s Cafe, established in 1934, offers gigantic burgers, homemade soups, sandwiches, oyster stew, and salads. A favorite for visitors, many of whom stop by after an Orioles’ game, is the Burke’s onion ring, a large, tasty, breathtaking, and breath-killing appetizer. On the comedy side, you may see Angel Salazar, Chad Daniels, and T (Todd) Rexx with performances on Thursday at 8 p.m., Friday at 7:30, 9:30, and 11:30 p.m., and Saturday at 7, 9, and 11 p.m. Reservations are a good idea on weekend nights or if you plan to go before an event, but otherwise you’ll be seated for breakfast, lunch, or dinner pretty quickly. The bar is known for its frosty mugs of beer and soda; it’s also a good place to wait for a table. Burke’s is open 7 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily. Parking is available at several parking garages within a block of the restaurant. Try the garage at the Gallery shopping area, or if it’s late at night or the weekend, park on the street.
