Description: This Hilton is the Texas of Baltimore. With 767 rooms and suites, it has more rooms than any other hotel. The 25,000-square-foot grand ballroom is the city’s largest. It is directly across the street from the Convention Center and is linked by a skybridge. It has a 32,000-square-foot (that’s a little larger than the Ravens’ football field) green roof, the largest in the city. It’s also probably caused more of a stir (among people who think this stuff is important) because it blocks the view of the Bromo Seltzer Tower from Camden Yards, and the architectural design leaves a lot of people shaking their combined heads. Many of us have come to love the Brutalist architecture of the Morris Mechanic Theatre and we may come to love the design of the Hilton Hotel. Maybe. Enjoy the indoor pool on the fourth floor.
