Description: The entranceway to this inn surrounded by flowery gardens is a typical Greek Revival affair, with pilasters, entablature, and half-length sidelights. Windows are simply framed and contain the old six-over-six sash, and a wonderful old arched window is located in the gable. A sunlit breakfast room opens to a deck overlooking a gazebo and the gardens. Choose one of the spacious guest rooms, lovingly decorated for your comfort with linens, colorful quilts, and an abundance of pillows. Each room has a character all its own and is furnished with various antiques, family mementos, and beautiful prints of Falmouth by local artist Karen Rinaldo. The master bedroom has a canopied king-size bed. There are seven rooms in total, and all have private full baths. Wake up to the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and a breakfast of fresh fruit, muffins, breads, and a hot specialty each day served cafe style. Spend your days at Chapoquoit Beach, within walking distance; Old Silver Beach; or one of the 10 other beaches in the area. The sunsets are glorious on the tidal creek across the street. The inn is close to Falmouth Center and the island ferries. Chapoquoit Inn is open year-round and is nonsmoking. Children 12 and older are welcome.

Description: The 49-acre Bourne Farm is owned and operated by Salt Pond Area Bird Sanctuaries, Inc. In July and Aug you can take an afternoon tour (by appointment—call the number above) of the 1775 farmhouse and a barn with an old cattle tunnel. This former working farm has hiking paths and a parking area. A free nature program geared to children is given every Tues afternoon during July and Aug at 3 p.m. The trails are open year-round.

Description: This 1775 farm is a former working farm that has been beautifully restored so that you can enjoy and learn about the early days of farming in Falmouth. Call to make an appointment for a tour. They offer seasonal guided walks, special nature programs, and an annual Pumpkin Day Festival the Saturday of Columbus Day weekend (see our Annual Events chapter).
