Description: You’ll find lots to see and do at CNN Center, headquarters of Ted Turner’s mighty communications empire. Get a behind-the-scenes look at news in the making through the popular Cable News Network Studio Tour. You’ll spend about 45 minutes touring three studios: CNN, Headline News, and CNN International. Fifty-five minute studio tours run every 10 minutes from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Call (404) 827-2300 for advance reservations. For tours that haven’t sold out, walk-up tickets go on sale on a first-come, first-served basis at 8:30 a.m. every day. Tours cost $12 for adults, $11 for ages 65 and over, and $9 for ages 4 to 18. Children under age 4 are not permitted. For groups of 20 or more, admission is $9. Public tours usually have 35 people. Morning Express Tours to see Robin Meade on the set are limited and cost $49. Other fun things at CNN include such Atlanta-themed shops as the Braves Clubhouse Store, the Atlanta Shop, and the Turner Store. You can snack in the food court or dine in full-service restaurants. You can even spend the night at the Omni Hotel. CNN Center, across the street from Centennial Park, is within walking distance of the Georgia Dome, the Georgia Aquarium, World of Coca-Cola, and the Georgia World Congress Center. It’s just a stroll away from Underground Atlanta. You can get there on MARTA.
