Description: The Yellow Jackets are often rated among the top teams in the country in men’s basketball and play in one of the nation’s toughest leagues, the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Jackets have won five regular season or ACC tournament titles, and made it all the way to the NCAA Final Four in 1990. That year, behind All-Americas Dennis Scott and Kenny Anderson, the team struggled to an 8–6 conference record, good for a third-place tie in the regular season, but won the conference tournament to clinch a bid to the NCAA’s Big Dance. Other noted Yellow Jacket alumni include Mark Price, Rich Yunkus, Matt Harpring, Travis Best, Stephon Marbury, and Roger Kaiser. The Lady Jackets are still building their history.
