Right in step with the current trend of indoor/outdoor treatments, The Well Spa has a Watsu pool and a Vichy shower with tables made from 100-year-old acacia cedar. In the shallow spa pool, smooth stone benches make for “natural chaise lounges” and encourage lingering. There are nine indoor and 10 outdoor treatment rooms; men’s and women’s steam, sauna, and locker facilities; a swimming pool and whirlpool; as well as a full-service beauty salon and 24-hour fitness center. The fitness center offers two outdoor pools with hot tubs, machines, free weights, and fitness classes. Personal trainers are available by appointment. Waxing is available in the spa, and nail services are also offered. One of the spa’s signature services is the Pittura Fiesta, or mud-painting party. Guests paint themselves or their partners with colored mud and clays, then let the sun bake the mud dry while aestheticians deliver a scalp massage and personalized pressure-point facial. A Swiss shower is the finale, rinsing off the detoxifying mud and leaving the skin soft and refreshed. Italian-themed treatments are the signature here and include such services as the Wine Bath Cobblestone Massage, Mediterranean Veggie Organic Wrap, and Monticelli Mud Wrap.
