Description: Once the home of the heirs to the Pierce-Arrow automobile fortune, the 1925-era Ingleside is a local landmark, a favorite place to have Sunday brunch at Melvyn’s restaurant, and a magnet for Hollywood types—or wannabes—who want a nostalgic hideaway. It’s just off Palm Canyon Drive, a few blocks from the center of town in a quiet location across the road from Tahquitz Canyon. Melvyn’s is the site of an old-time piano bar and hosts a regular Sun evening jam session that attracts local blues and jazz artists.
