Description: Founded in 1968 to help meet the health care needs of Orange County’s growing community, this 167-bed medical facility offers a spectrum of services and facilities. There is a TotalCare Pavilion, an ambulatory surgery center, and the hospital facility. Within the TotalCare Pavilion is a trio of centers with one catering to the needs of cancer patients and the other two offering imaging and infusion services. Description: Long before the arrival of Angels or Ducks, Dodgers or Lakers, Kings, Clippers, or The Galaxy, Orange County was on the fast track with quarter horse racing at Los Alamitos Race Course. Opened in 1950, the track offers year-round racing with overall purses reaching more than $20 million in 2008. Racing takes place in the evenings, Thursday through Sunday, with $3 general admission. Los Alamitos is also open for daytime simulcast wagering featuring racing from Southern and Northern California Thoroughbred circuits, New York circuit, Florida circuit, Kentucky circuit, and more.
