Description: Surf & Turf is easy to get to. Just exit I-5 at Via De La Valle in Del Mar and head toward the ocean. Make the first left turn onto Jimmy Durante Boulevard. You can’t miss it. The range is across from the Del Mar Fairgrounds. The staff here offers individual and group lessons. The range is lighted and open daily from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Both grass and Astroturf mats are available.Keep in mind that when the horses are running (during racing season) and during the Del Mar Fair (mid-June though early July), traffic can be unpleasant. If you’re uncertain of what’s happening at the fairgrounds or the track, call the driving range about traffic conditions before you set your sights on hitting golf balls here. If you want to play some strictly-for-laughs golf after hitting a bucket of balls ($6.00 to $12.00). Surf & Turf has a place to play miniature golf, too—18 holes for $9.00.
