After 80 years together 103-year-old Jose Manuel Riella and 99-year old Martina Lopez of Paraguay, finally decided to tie the knot in a religious ceremony. The blushing bride explained, "My children wanted us to get married, they told me that is what they wanted.” The two were joined in a civil union 40 years ago, but at that time did not perform the sacrament of marriage of the Catholic Church. The adorable couple held hands while priest Cristian Paiva officiated the wedding in a garden at their Santa Rosa De Aguaray home.

I don't really see what was the point. They are close to their last years so in a way not only it is a happy ending but a sad one too.

The did it for their children, who told them that they wanted their parents to finally get married.
You don't think that doing this for their children is a good enough reason . . . ?

They do!
