Not a mystery, but wonderful stories about people.
Good Karma Hospital. Takes place in India but was filmed in Sri Lanka.
Excellent cast and interesting take on medicine.
Watch Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries to see Essie Davis and her fantastic clothes. Lighthearted comedy/mystery from Australia.
Also, if you haven't already seen Foyle's War, I recommend this. Michael Kitchen stars as Christopher Foyle who fights crime on the south coast of England during WWII. The final episodes are strange because they cancelled the series before the story was done, so the writers had to quickly win the war and end the series. There was a tremendous backlash of fans, that they had to continue the series after the war ended, which wasn't very good.
The Chelsea Detective is interesting.
For a lighthearted approach to mystery, watch The Brokenwood Mysteries which take place in New Zealand.

You seem like you like the mysteries, which I don't watch. But if you're into other genres, I enjoyed:
Detectorists (mild and quirky comedy; really so loved this one)
The Larkins (history/comedy)
A Suitable Boy (history/romance)
Doc Martin (mild and quirky comedy)
I LOVE the Detectorists! I actually downloaded the title song because I love the show so much. Also, I am currently watching the Larkins and I've seen Doc Martin, both of which I loved. I haven't watched A Suitable Boy yet.
Is The Missing on Acorn? I can't remember. Anyway, both seasons were very, very, very good. I also really enjoyed Happy Valley.
I didn't include 'detectorists' in my list above because so many had already recommended it. but it absolutely one of my favorite shows in a long time. it is lovely and touching and funny.
Last time I was sick I watched Madame Blanc, about a British antiques expert who goes to France and solves art crimes while also trying to find out how her husband died. Less lighthearted, Signora Volpe is about a British spy who goes to Italy and solves crimes while reinventing herself.
