Mostly positive, but as a native who is feeling a very strong pull back to Texas, 24 million and counting--with 14-15 million more projected by 2030--doesn't make me feel too good.

There comes a point when it just gets to be too much, with urban sprawl, traffic, strain on the infrastructure, et al, but with everything Texas has to offer, there's no stopping it.

If I do move back, the only area under consideration is the Big Bend region...Brewster or Jeff Davis Counties, which are not heavy population centers, and won't be within my lifetime.

The video did carefully avoid mentioning the biggest downside to Texas--high property taxes. Even with a state income tax in other states, it's cheaper to live in parts of NM and other places when that is factored in.

Exactly. I found that video depressing. Wouldn't mind Texas going into obscurity and becoming something like South Dakota

True, such growth has positives and negatives, but then again it's Texas, a big state with no shortage of sparsely inhabited areas if that's what floats your boat!

Well maybe if we secede, we can enact STRICT immigration laws to prevent all those illegals. Except this time it would be from the USA.

Who thinks the great state of Texas will remain the Promised Land with the burgeoning "growth" as described in this video. Do we really want another California? They are all escaping to recreate in Texas just what they are running from! Add to that the exploding illegal population, is this the nirvana being depicted in the video? Too much "progress", out of control growth brings along with it the undesirables, crime, noise, pollution,poverty.....positive? Bigger isn't always better.
