What did you win?

As for Hispanics edging out White, Non Hispanics, I believe it. The growth is phenomenal. I'm actually quite fine with it. We've been one of four or five majority/minority state for many years now so this is not unexpected news.

I love Mexican food so it's all good! LOL

Here in NE Texas, white non Hispanic folks are at a bit over 48 percent and Hispanic folks are at 21 percent, so there's still some catching up to do.

There’s got to be more than Mexican food in Texas. How about Salvadoran cuisine?
Quite a number of Mexicans don’t speak Spanish as their first language. There must be a community of them in Texas, too.

To be honest, outside Houston, Dallas, and to a lesser degree Austin, the rest of the state's Hispanic population is well over 95% Mexican.

Houston has a super diverse Hispanic population. Only 54% of the Hispanic population in the urban area is Mexican. Dallas' is a lot less diverse at 78% of the Hispanic population being Mexican, but the Hispanic population so large there that non-Mexicans still have a very large presence. Austin's is much smaller, but 68% of the Hispanic population is Mexican which is still pretty diverse.

I thought Texas was already majority Hispanic. Must have just been majority minority.

Either way, doesn't make much difference to me. The big cities are getting more and more diverse, so there are more and more to experience

Soon enough, speaking Spanish will be a requirement or strongly recommended.

I already see local TV affiliates in Dallas have Spanish segments or Spanish subtitles at the bottom of the screen during severe weather. I've never seen that until recently. Even with channels like Telemundo, Univision, etc. that exclusively caters to that demo.

Well Texas was once part of Mexico.

A few generations ago my family had to learn English to assimilate. At least most of my family did. Perhaps we are going to come full circle.
