I agree with proulxfamily that Jowonio school is very good. I believe it has a waiting list
Another preschool for consideration is the Bernice M. Wright Nursery school
Bernice M. Wright Child Development Laboratory School - College of Human Ecology (http://hshp.syr.edu/schools/cfs/bernice/ - broken link) Considered to be an excellent nursery school but does have a waiting list
There is a Montessori school in syracuse
Montessori School of Syracuse > Home I don't know much about this school and haven't heard too much about their preschool so I can't tell you much about it.
All three of these schools are located very close to the Dewitt/Syracuse border but lye within the city of Syracuse so they shouldn't be too hard to get to if your are living in Dewitt
I know of a couple of mothers who enjoy "mother's Day Out"
Mother's Day Out This is a program that lets you drop your kids off for just a few hours once or twice a week.
And MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers)
Welcome to MOPS A program that lets you connect with other mothers
Both of these are offered at Eastern Hills Bible Church in Manlius (not far from Dewitt)
Eastern Hills Bible Church But I believe you do not need to attend the church in order to participate in either MOPS or Mother's Day Out
Good Luck and Welcome to Syracuse
