This from a 2023 hearing investigating the charges against Trump. The prosecutor in question Mark Pomerantz felt Bragg should've brought charges against Trump sooner for shaky business practices in 2022. Wouldn't answer question did he break the law when investigating Trump.

The feds in particular try to leverage suspects into plea deals all the time using lawfare or the threat of. Without resources to fight lawfare based charges most accept a deal, a deal isn't necessarily justice but the lesser of two potential evils.
Trump with resources is messing up the players who use lawfare because he isn't accepting plea deals they are trying to leverage him into.
