Is this possible? I know dogs and cats do it all the time but horses? The farm near my mother sold one of the horses months ago and today my mother said she saw the horse back. It was standing outside the fenced field where the other horse was, they were together all the time.

I don't know all the details and how far the horse traveled to get back to the previous farm and friend.

Do horses do this too?

Very possible.

I've heard of horses, and cattle, doing this.

I also seem to recall reading one of those "strange, but true" stories (many years ago) about a pet turtle that was stolen yet found its way home. It might have been from the old "That's Incredible" TV show.

most pets and farm animals navigate by the sun making their return not very difficult - they also have a pretty good memory if he was looking out the trailer while he was being driven to his new home - by accident i stepped on one of my cat's paws 7 years ago, she has never forgotten that transgression and when i am walking around she gives me plenty of room - LOL
