Costa Mesa. Land of good food and coffee. Honestly it's really central to a lot of places in OC. I love it. The only downfall is there are some rougher neighborhoods, but such is life in California.

If you are going to work at LAX, living in Orange County sounds absolutely insane.

Hi all,
Got a job offer at the LAX airport starting early next year.
........
Looking for a neighbourhood recommendations for me and my wife to live.
1BR apartment in or around Orange County, close to the beach (20-30'), safe area to walk around at night.

Thank you
There is no way you should be considering Orange County if you are working at LAX. That is just not at all a doable commute even if its only twice per week. Based on your criteria, you need to look at Redondo Beach, El Segundo, Westchester or Marina Del Rey. O.C./Irvine and even Long Beach is out of the question. The commute to LAX is just not doable.
