My husband and I are taking a vacation to MB the beginning of summer. We are bringing a nanny with us so we can go out a few evenings and enjoy ourselves. We are looking for recommendations of a club or bar that has more of a mature crowd versus the 18 and over, or just turned 21 bars We are staying between North MB and MB at Sea Mist. Thanks!

2001 has one side that has music and a more mature crowd.

Go to Main Street in N. Myrtle....Duck's Beach Club and/or Fat Harolds is what you want....they play great dance music, usually with live bands of stupendous talent....lots of dancing and fun. Folks are quite friendly!
Or, try Boom-Booms..13th St. on the waterway...bands on the deck overlooking the Intracoastal and Marina.
In Cherry Grove, there's Hoto's (Harold's on the Ocean)....bands on Sunday afternoon 1-5...a GREAT time!!!
You won't find the "teeny bopper" crowd at any of these places!

Well unless you are a "shagger" or like type of music...I would explore more 2001...more eclectic....I am sure others will name more places...we do not go to bars....but I live very close to Main Street in NMB and it is definitely an older shag scene....seeing that you have a nanny, I assume you have younger children....so try one of the Myrtle Beach bars....I know there are a few inside Broadway at the Beach...I hear they are always a good time from some co-workers who are in their 30's...

Ducks has the live bands (most often) and the younger set rolls in just around the time us AARP card holders are leaving for home. I've been at both Harold's and Ducks surrounded by shaggers, spring breakers and couples in their 30s to 40s all at the same time. Just depends on the time of the year....Also check out Pirates Cove for live music on Friday nights too......

I mentioned the "beach music" places, because it's simply good "dance" music....no need to "shag" if you don't know how!

Yes...2001 has several different clubs and music types. It's an ok place to spend an evening, too!

Also...another thought....if you're at Broadway at the Beach, check out Crocodile Rocks....dueling pianos...very fun if you haven't seen it before! The pianists are extremely talented and funny as all get-out!
