Hello.

I am looking at buying a house on Spivey. Was wondering how the neighborhood is? Any thoughts are welcome.

There's a small Spivey Avenue approximately between 12th and 13th in Myrtle Beach. There are also same names in Conway and Murrell's Inlet. Which one?

The only place for sale in MB is a triplex which is probably an investment property.

Sorry, I misread the forum name ("Myrtle Beach - Conway area"). I thought it meant in Conway, which is where I'm actually talking about. Are you familar with that area?

No, not familiar. It is probably a safer area than downtown Myrtle Beach. Streetview shows a modest neighborhood of bungalows.
Zillow shows a new construction house at 1841 Spivey. It looks promising and it is good to be in an established neighborhood.

I am not specifically familiar with Spivey Ave in Conway and on this crime map it appears in the dark green area off Wright Blvd where it intersects Church St. https://crimegrade.org/safest-places-in-conway-sc/. I am very familiar with this intersection and this is a very congested area (Church St is the main drag for traffic going into Myrtle Beach from most points west and Wright St is a main drag for traffic coming from SW to MB). I would imagine that Spivey could be noisy and challenging to get in/out of. Put into Google Street View the address that goldenage1 notes above and then use the arrows on the street to "drive" each way on the street and you can see there's a mix of houses in various conditions.

Further, Spivey is right next to the Racepath neighborhood in Conway which is infamous for its crime problems. I would be very careful and do a lot of research into how one community could impact the other. I would also encourage you to talk to the neighbors to find out what types of issues that they might or might not be seeing.
