New rankings again list Morgantown as being among the Top 10 of thousands of American small cities in security as a place to live...
Article - Study: Morgantown 8th most secure small town (http://olive.dominionpost.com/Repository/ml.asp?Ref=RFBvc3QvMjAwOS8xMi8yMiNBcjAwMzAx&Mode=G if&Locale=english-skin-custom - broken link)
We were guessing the home depreciation rate at 5%...glad to see that was correct and insignificant as the spring market will may that evaporate..
builders have already added in for the rise in taxes...
And to see the unemployment rate is only 5.8% as compared to last years 4% is insignificant too..
When you travel through Morgantown look up at the traffic lights, all have a camera taking your pic...at least in England, cameras are placed in plastic black birds and look like part of the landscape...
Move over George Orwell...you were a prophet of our time.
Yeah, the cameras are a mixed bag. They do provide some measure of security, but the move to Big Brother government we see with more nazi-socialist influence in goverment is more than troubling. Every time they do something else like that, or pass a new rule or law, they take away more and more of our freedoms.
Hopefully they won't be able to find a way to do away with the First Amendmant. At least we can still talk about it. When their predecessors in Nazi Germany suspended constitutional guarantees, they were able to use their socialist dominated press to basically totally supress dissent.
