Tonight, in a Gold Rush game, the Mountaineers square off vs. Ole' Miss.
This is the first of several "ranked" teams the Mounties will be playing

Since you're a yinzer, I'm sure that is a hard choice
to make. For me, it's a no brainer. Not only am I
not a hockey fan... it's Mountaineer basketball.

I prefer to think of myself as a Mountaineer temporarily living in Yinzer-land.
Beano is indeed still alive, although he spent a spell recently in the hospital. You can hear him occasionally on the ESPN Radio stations, including 1250 in Pittsburgh.
WVU-Ole Miss on ESPN2 or Penguins home to Ottawa on FSN.
If you don't choose basketball, you need to move to Canada, watch you're precious ice soccer, and stop eating hot dogs, American pie, & pepperoni rolls for the rest of eternity.
Penguins are good...they have a Kennedy on the roster.
