911 is not to be tied up with non-emergency calls. That is a big no-no. I'm sure they have a none emergency number to call. Or an animal control #. True life threatening calls can't get through then.

When the police show up at your door for a dog problem, the results are usually better than when a county employee shows up.

To be honest, while dog barking is certainly annoying, having large, aggressive dogs next door seems helping with the area's security. It can deter the petty thieves away from your house.

The house on my left side has 2 big German shepherds and they bark very loud often, sometimes at nights, or when I work in my backyard. We haven't had a break- in or losing a mail package at the door yet in 16 years living here, so I have a feeling those dogs have contributed in keeping the strangers away.

Regarding the matter, I'm not sure if the police or the dog owner can control the dogs' behavior, but letting the neighbor knows that his dog's barking was a nuisance to others, then s/he would somehow keep that in checked would be helpful. Calling a non-911 police number would work.

Suffer no more! Walmart and other stores sell ultrasonic dog bark devices. They work on high frequency sound waves that humans normally can't hear, and appear to have a 25' to 50' working range. Some are even disguised as bird houses or bird feeders. Ck the reviews, as some are more effective than others. It looks like $20 to $50 gets you a good one, and I suggest Walmart because you can read the review of people who bought them, and if it doesn't work Walamrt will take it back for a full refund.

Get yourself an ultrasonic dog bark device. It looks like $25 to $50 gets you a good one from Walmart w/ a working range of 25' to 50'. I recommend Walmart because you can read the reviews and get a good one, and they will always give you a refund if it doesn't work.
