I'm planning an anniversary night out, and I am looking for hotels in the Metro area that have in-room jacuzzi. It's frustrating, because the search engines for hotels don't allow you to search for this amenity. Looking to spend up to around $200 a night. Anyone have any suggestions? I know the Marquette hotel has them, but I want to compare some options. We often go to the Archer House in Northfield, but I wanted to stay local this year. Besides, we have a babysitter for 24 hours, and I don't want to spend a lot of time in the car.

Best suggestion I have is to go to kayak.com and enter the dates. Sort it from 5 stars to 1, and click the option to book next to the hotels you'd be interested in. When it brings you to the hotel's web page, you can go a little into the booking process and see the different rooms with amenities they have available, including jacuzzi suites. I've booked jacuzzi rooms in a few other cities before, but only once in Minneapolis, which was at the Marquette, and and little more money than you are looking to spend.

Most hotels have them, even Super 8 will have some. You need to look at suites in any hotel and they will list there if they have a jacuzzi or not.

Check with the higher-end downtown Mpls hotels, such as Hyatt, Hilton, W Foshay, Westin, Marquette, Millenium. We have lots of nice hotels in town.

If you are looking for a weekend stay, the downtown hotels occupancy generally go down because of the business clientelle are not there to fill the rooms. Providing there are not any big conventions in town, they will be willing to negotiate their higher end rooms. Crowne Plaza has a few multi-room suites that could easily be had for less than $200. Don't think any have "hot tubs" but they do have soaking tubs/jacuzzis.

This. I have even had one in my room at a Holiday Inn Express before.

Country Inn & Suites often have rooms with hot tubs. We stayed there once, it was great.

I'm considering the Holiday Inn Express. The only downside is I'd like a decent place to eat without leaving the hotel. We often go to the Archer House in Northfield, which has two restuarants inside, but we wanted something different this time. I considered the W Hotel at the Foshay, but to get the tub we wanted, the suite was $350, that was a bit too much.

Which HIE? If its the one in Dwtn Mpls, there's a very good restaurant at the Ivy Hotel--Porter & Frye, which is on the same block.

If you stay in Minneapolis you can use the skyway and not go outside. If you like Northfield, what about the Lowell Inn in Stillwater? They have 2 restaurants on site and I know they have some jacuzzi rooms, I don't know how much they cost though. Several of the B and B's in Stillwater offer dinner options as well as breakfast and have jacuzzi's. I am pretty sure the Aurora Staples has both.
