These commentators didn't mention anything about Maryland being southern, but their descriptions and discussions of Pennsylvania's political landscape was quite interesting. You'd think living in PA are reminiscent episodes of Petticoat Junction and Hee Haw in how they described the political demographics of the state.

Delaware is typical coastal plains. You can drive from Dover all the way to Myrtle Beach and never know that you're going from one state to the next were it not for the signs saying so. There is literally nothing northern about Delaware.

Delaware is culturally and linguistically more like Pennsylvania than any Southern state. You're wrong.
