At least these other vaccines have a track record. They’ve been around a long time and you kinda know what you’re up against. Unlike that covid garbage that they whipped together and forced nearly everyone to get.

The mRNA vaccines were not "whipped together". There were decades of research prior to the application to covid.
The covid vaccines are preventative, not treatments.
But what does the data say about its effectiveness as a preventative?
No side effects, but how effective?
Many people who were jabbed and boosted reported getting covid the past few winters.

Now we have 4 years of data, but how many years of data of did we have in 2021 when it was being imposed on the general public, and for people who faced unemployment on their decision to get it or not?
I am vaxxed and have one booster shot, by the way, so I'm not "anti-vaxx", but I do believe that the way the situation was handled left a lot to be desired.

The thread is about a midwife selling vaccine exemptions, not the covid vaccines, so we should probably end this discussion.
However, every vaccine we have was new at one time. There is no magic time frame for development of a vaccine. Often longer intervals reflect the need to develop technology. With the polio vaccine it was a method to grow the polio virus. You seem to have forgotten that large numbers of people were dying during the early phase of the pandemic. How many years should testing go on under the circumstances? Five? Ten? Twenty?
The original vaccine was better than ninety percent effective against the original virus. That is a fact, not a lie. As the virus mutated the effectiveness dropped.
In an ideal world people would not need mandates to adopt infection control measures during epidemics of infectious diseases. Unfortunately, too many people in the US do not understand what those measures are and why they are recommended. They just do not want to be told what to do.
