I am interested in finding a good location for some awesome beach glass on the Island. I would like to make some cool art with it. A buddy of mine said there was a spot by Robert Moses where you could find pieces to really old bottles but he can't remember exactly where it is. Any suggestions/ideas?

Well, when I was younger we would find beach glass all the time (especially on the sandbar across from my house on Strong's Neck). But in those days , people used more glass. Soda and beer bottles were glass; people would picnic and bring glass jars and bottles with them as no one used plastic then . I don't think there's much beach glass left because there is not that much glass left, sadly enough.

excellent point. Now everything is in plastic...an environmental disaster. I just wish I knew the spot where the real old glass is. I love finding old stuff like that.
