Anyone know where I can buy kimchi on the island? Not looking to drive into Flu-Shing or bordering LI communities....

Any place out in Eastern Nassau or Suffolk?

HY Market on S. Oyster Bay Road (Plainview I think) would have an extensive selection of kimchi and a full line of asian groceries

They do have a nice selection. Anyone know if there is a vegetarian version anywhere? All the ones that I have seem have shrimp paste in it. Maybe not shrimp paste, but shrimp something. I LOVE kimchi.

There's a Korean grocery called H & Y Market, it's connected to a Korean restaurant called Koreana. The address is 478 Plainview Rd, Hicksville, NY.

It's not very far west of the Seaford Oyster Bay if you take Old Country Road. The link below should be the google page for H & Y.

There is also an Asian Market on Front Street in Hempstead called V&T Market they may have Kimchee there too.

Yup. Pass it all the time, it's on the NE corner of Front Street & N Franklin Avenue.

H-Mart, a very large Asian supermarket located in Williston Park on the Mineola border. It is on Hillside Avenue and Herricks Road.

Sweet Pea Gourmet in Hewlett... just found their kimchi yesterday. It's really good

There's also an H-Mart in Great Neck on near the corner of Great Neck Road and Northern Blvd.
