Anyone offer any experience of contracting with Newmark to build a home?
Anything from contract/build/quality/service would be appreciated.

Personally I feel like they build a good home, good local company, but their upgrade prices are ridiculous, everything feels like an upgrade.

Been in our Newmark home 7 years this June. What do you want to know? No major issues during that time, but we were very present during the build, had an outstanding salesperson, outstanding Superintendent (Builder) from Newmark, and a great inspector during the process.

Thanks for the note.

How long did they actually take to build? Their base contracts stipulates a 2 year window; like a lot of their contract it's clearly intended to protect them.

Sales guy is really nice - but we think their contract is pretty awful. Did you have them re-draft any aspects of it, or did you sign up and cross your fingers?

Not sure if you mind saying where you bought? Would be interested in using an inspector if we go ahead so a recommendation would be great if he/she works in Bridgeland?

Happy to connect directly if preferable. They have a confidentiality/non-disparagement clause that would actually prevent us from even talking about the price with we paid with even a friend, which we find pretty outrageous. Not sure if you signed that?

I think Newmark builds a good house in the $300k +/- range. Unfortunately, I built in the higher range and felt like I received the same quality of a $300k house. I also had a terrible building manager which made the experience worse.

Good luck with a builder modifying their contract. It’s written by their attorneys and they don’t modify them for anyone.

Agreed. I tried to get my current builder to change some terms and they were adamant that their legal department would not change anything. It was a take it or leave it proposition.
