Got a question for all the ladies out there, particularly ones in there 20s and 30s.

What's your opinion about guys wearing earrings.

Now, I'm not talking about the huge dangling body piercing style earrings or the gigantic diamonds rappers wear.

I'm just talking about a small hoop or stud in the left (or both) ears.

Some say, some guys look good wearing one. Others don't

What kind of guys look good in an earing? What kind of look (hair styles/clothing) do you think go well with one?

Just looking for opinions here.

Well, I'm 2 to 3 x's the age group you're looking for comments from. I like the look of a single stud for men. It's quite common in the sailing world I live in and for me represents a sort of individualism of spirit which I hold dear.

I like small hoops in both ears on the right guy. I can't get into studs on guys, maybe because it reminds me of growing up in the 80s.

I think some guys look good with earrings. I think some don't. It all adds to that bad boy image... or "stud" image... it's hard to explain.

One of my little brothers would look absolutely studly in an earring... the other one wouldn't, at all!!!

I think one is sexy. I think 2 means I would question whether you really would have rather been a girl in a former (or possibly future) life. You just gotta be careful which ear they pierce, one side or the other apparently is dependant upon whether you're "gay" or not!

PS : studs or a hoop don't make a difference to me. but a diamond in a man's ear to me ... gives me the feeling of... "eh, splitting jewelry costs with the women, I wonder who costs more to keep happy!" too tacky or gaudy. to each his or her own, this is just an opinion

It's easy to go overboard.. get one earring, get 2, get double piercings.. get a fancy smancy watch, maybe a big gold chain to wear around your neck, maybe a couple all at once... where does it end! lol

I convinced my boyfriend to pierce his ers with not hoops, but the almsot hoop earings with pointed ends. His bulldoglike build and facial features worked well with them. He's a big guy so he looks like a biker dude. I thought it was sexy. No studs, no stretching of ears. That just looks stupid.

I prefer my man to not have any piercings (or tats). Wearing a good watch is all the adornment he needs. Just my personal taste though.

I can't stand that thing they put in their ear to stretch that huge hole in their ear. It reminds me of how they put a ring in a bulls nose so if your close to him and he gets out of control, you can grab that ring and bring him to his knees. I'm sure thats not the intend but thats what it reminds me of.

I like earrings on certain kinds of men, some it just doesn't fit with who they are.

Ditto.
Every time I see one of those things, it is all I can do to *not* stare.
Especially when the earlobes wiggle.
My older son (20s) has never done the earring thing, but some of his friends have small loops.
I don't think there is any particular set of clothing that goes with an earring, but some men can't wear them at their job.

I do know what you mean, though I don't mind stud earrings.

I know of a few guys who wear 'em and look good. (Small stud earrings though, not those gawdy oversized things).

I used to date a guy who had a peirced ear. I have two holes in my left ear, so we got a pair of studs that were his birthstone, (sapphire) I wore one in my extra hole and he wore the other. It was kind of cool. BUT that was way back in the 90s.
