What sunscreen do most of you here use? I mainly use neutrogena ultrasheer dry touch sunscreen sf 70. I dont use sunscreen that much though but this is what i use. The other thing is i have acne skin and also very oily skin etc.
I have to buy another sunscreen since im running out. The issue i have with this sunscreen is it seems like i always have white residue on my face. Now i usually put a lot of sunscreen on... thus i dont do things the right way and sort of smear it on etc. But even when i use very little, i notice it doesn't go on clear that well.
Does anyone have any recommendations on what sunscreen they use and recommend? Also i know they say you should use at least spf 15 but isn't that pretty low? I recall spf 30 or 45 is recommended minimum? But to be on the safe side, probably better to go with at least 45 or even 60 or 70? I notice that on amazon, they actually have neutrogena ultrasheer the same one i use but its SPF 100. First off, is that necessary? Is it better/worst than lower? Does it lessen chance of sunscreen? The thing is i have lot of red marks/hyperpigmentaion from acne and thus if im outside, i want there to be another sunscreen to not make the marks even darker etc. I also noticed on amazon they have like neutrogena sunscreen spf 55 thats for acne prone skin etc. But those probably should be avoided right if they say this sunscreen is for people who are prone to breakouts?
I would like to know which sunscreen would you suggest for someone with acne prone and hyperpigmentation skin. I also assume neutrogena is probably the best and the product i use is probably good?
The thing that i find strange is the neutrogena spf 100 has over 2000 plus reviews compared to the other ones with less spf.
If you just do a better job applying it, it won't leave a white residue on your face. It doesn't take much, and a bonus is that your sunscreen will last longer because you won't be wasting it.
Just start with a small amount on your fingertip and apply it to your forehead, rub it in thoroughly, and repeat the process on another part of your face.
Use a little bit at a time because you can always add but it's harder to take away.
I use Dermalogica Oil-Free Matte SPF 30, this entirely matte formulation feels cool and untacky on the skin, absorbs quickly, and works almost like a primer under makeup.
I can only use mineral sunscreen and usually the highest it's available is spf 55. It seems to work at least as well as the chemical sunscreens did, although it can be chalky when first applied.

Is there any big difference between say spf 45 vs 55 vs 70 vs 85 vs 100? I checked that the higher it is the better it protects etc.
Im talking about neutrogena sunscreen.
From what I just watched recently on the news there is little difference between 45 & 70. The higher SPF's have a tendency to leave white marks, almost like zinc oxide which I use on my face if I'm at the beach. I also use Neutrogena Sheer but I use SPF 30 and just reapply if I go into the water. I like the Neutrogena because it doesn't seem to clog my pores and make me sweat.
I mix sunscreen with color foundation and rub into my palm. Then I apply all over with fingertips to cover face and neck, blending into other areas.
