Single guy here. I was just wondering where would be some good places to meet single women in and around Columbia? I am almost 30 so my age range I guess would be single women 25 to 35. I am open to whatever.
I know all of the typical places such as 5 points and/or The Vista, but I am so sick of the bar scene and I just don't think the bar scene is condusive to meeting a potential girlfriend or at least someone to date. I am open to going to bars and all that, but that whole scene just doesn't seem to work for me. Plus, I don't really run with any particular crowd so a lot of the time I go out solo which probably makes it even more difficult to meet people.
I'm pretty much at a lost for how to meet single women in Columbia. I welcome any help and/or advice. Thanks.
There are a few actiive running clubs in the city.
Art Bar seems to be a place where guys get numbers. Went to a birthday shindig there for a buddy last week, and it seemed like single guys there were having no trouble mingling with girls, there. It's really 3 bars in 1, and some of the clientele who hang out are gays.
Yikes. Would it be so hard to say that some of the clientele are gay? Rather than "gays"? What a difference an "s" makes.
Anyhoo....
As with anywhere, your best bet is to, as some have mentioned, follow your interests. Like running? Join a running club. Like art? Join a group through the art museum. Etc. That's a great way to meet people, in general, and many of those people will inevitably be women.
What do you like to do? What are you interested in? We might have some recommendations.

Exactly; and saying that some of the clientele at Art Bar is gay is like saying that some of the food at Longhorn's is beef. Art Bar's crowd is about 50/50.
I haven't lived in Columbia in a few years, but the Art Bar was/is, in my opinion, the best place to meet girls. I always had a great time at the Art Bar, and their Halloween party is top notch. I found the girls there to be the most laid back and off the beaten path type of girl.. thumbs up.
