TEXAS!! FIGHT!!

Let's make this the official thread for talking about Longhorns Football!

Who else is excited about the Horns? Who is going to some of the games? Which games? Who are you most excited to see play? Which games are you most excited to watch?

I don't think this is a rebuilding year. I think we'll run the table make it to the national championship... again!

Book 'em Horns! Let's see how many UT players or former players end up behind bars between now and the end of the season.

I think Garrett Gilbert is going to be great this year. In high school at Lake Travis he broke the state record for passing yards (4827 yards) in one season, then broke it again his next season (4851 yards). He finished high school with over 12,537 passing yards (another state record). He also helped his high school team win the Texas UIL 4A Division 2 state championship in 2007. In 2008, he led Lake Travis to a perfect 16-0 record and won another state championship. In summary, in high school he holds the most passing yards in texas (quite and accomplishment!) and has won 2 state championships.

I don't think he is going into this season untested-- we saw what he could do in the second half of the national championship against Bama. I think he may end up being better than Colt McCoy...
