Hello all,

We had a brief visit to Kingfish earlier this year and liked what we saw. We are looking to move south by end of next year and will probably consider this community. What are some overall thoughts regarding the amenities, beach house access, safety? Is the beach house crowded? Is the pool often crowded? Are visiting family well received at both pool and beach house. Are community gatherings common? Community garden? Mosquitos? Any thoughts much appreciated and hopefully a resident can respond. TIA.

I remember you asked about this Calabash community before. At this point, you probably know more about than anyone posting here. If you do not receive any other comments, trust your judgement. It sounds good, from what you describe. BTW, you ought to ask the HOA whether they spray for mosquitos. Also ask the HOA about the policy on visiting guest, as some have limits on the number of guests.

Not a resident but long time watcher of this very unique neighbourhood. We live nearby and have seen this community come back from "zombie status" of years ago. The architecture is delightfully coastal and the amenities have been added to over the years. They now have a riverfront (Calabash River) with docks, kayak storage etc.
The beach house seems to be rarely used (our beach house is next door), can not speak to the pool usage but the people we know use the garden and the river front amenities often.
The Beach House is lovely and probably one of the best attributes of the community given the growing popularity of Sunset Beach.
