During a Sermon and Bible Study Bishop Mar Mari Emanual was attacked and stabbed multiple times by a young man who yelled Allahu Akbar. Bishop Mar Mari Emanual is an Assyrian Christian born in Iraq who is a Bishop of the Ancient Eastern Church. He is outspoken, but truly a man of great love for all people.

The dangers of attending church? The dangers of being a bishop? The dangers of looking like a Norse viking? Too bad he didn't have a knife too. They could have done some rad dueling.

It's good that he is going to be ok, no one should have to go through that. I know he has been very out spoken on a lot of issues which make him a target for crazy fanatics.

It is significant that it showed someone loving an enemy.

As of 21 June 2007, the UNHCR estimated that 2.2 million Iraqis had been displaced to neighboring countries and 2 million were displaced internally, with nearly 100,000 Iraqis fleeing to Syria and Jordan each month. Some of those refugees and IDPs were Christians. A 25 May 2007 article noted that in the previous seven months only 69 people from Iraq had been granted refugee status in the United States.

After the 2003 invasion of Iraq, violence against Christians rose, with reports of abduction, torture, bombings, and killings. Some Christians were pressured to convert to Islam under threat of death or expulsion, and women were ordered to wear Islamic dress.

Because of Saddam Hussein, Christians flourished in Iraq. George Bush & the US removed Hussein which lead to the persecution. Just giving credit where credit is due.

Fyi.. this happened in Australia. The Muslim came into the church and stabbed him direct in the face. There were hundreds of thousands watching the livestream, the church was surrounded by thousands of people on a Monday night within minutes after the attack. The crowd was asking for the body of the attacker, a half dozen police officers were hospitalized.

While the mob of people are outside, there is a video of a demonic being crawling outside on the wall of the building.
