I have an 02 Toyota Camry with a single disc player that works only if the car is on. Meaning if I stick a cd in the player, it would automatically load if the car isn't on. I had an Oldsmobile before and it would load the cd even if the car was off.
Anyway, my problem is that I have a cd stuck in the cd player and called a few places and heard prices ranging from $80-500 bucks to fix the cd player or replace it all together. I think that is crazy. I ejected the cd before I got out of my car, but didn't take the cd out and left it sitting halfway in the cd player without realizing it. The next morning I got in my car and it went all the way in, but now it won't play. Any suggestions on what I should do?
So it doesn't play anymore even when the car is running? You have a diagnostic check to see if the CD player is faulty. If it is, replace it. It's cheaper than repairing it.
I have a 2002 toyota camry and my husband tried to clean the cd player and he sprayed compressed dust spray in it and then the cd player will not work it will take the cd for about 3 minutes then spit it back out everyone said to let it dry bc it may have got water from spray so how do i dry it
When I can fit 1500+ CD quality recordings onto a portable player, I'll stop carrying CDs in the car.
