Hello,
I have a 3 year old son that has a mild case of cerebral palsy. He just recently started thru our school district SDC(special day class) preschool. He receives speech, physical therapy and occupational therapy while at class on different days of the week.

He also receives services thru California Children's Service which is thru the state.

Are there programs like this in the Austin school districts? Is there someone I can call or a place to start researching? Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thank you!

I would start by reaching out to Easter seals of central Texas. They are amazing, based on my short time here.

Does he have an IEP since he's already 3? Do you have a sense of where you will be living once you move to the Austin area? If so, check the website for that ISD (independent school district) and call their Special Education parent liaison #. If not sure of where you will live, I suggest checking the websites of the 3 school districts that cover most of the Austin area - Austin ISD, Leander ISD and Round Rock ISD and call the SPecial Education department or the parent liaison. Which ever ISD you end up in, is required by law to provide the same services as much as possible that he is receiving in CA based on his IEP till such a time as they could undertake their own evaluation or ratify his IEP as theirs

Good luck!
