President Obama issued a major disaster declaration for the State of Alaska triggering the release of Federal funds to help people and communities recover from severe flooding that occurred from May 17 to June 11. Federal funding in the form of Individual Assistance is available to affected individuals in the Alaska Gateway Regional Educational Attendance Area (REAA) Lower Yukon REAA, Yukon Flats REAA, and the Yukon-Koyukuk REAA.
