After Hurricane Katrina flooded St Bernard Parish, all 12 of the fire stations were destroyed or heavily damaged. FEMA Public Assistance grants have allowed the residents of St. Bernard to feel more comfortable knowing that their properties and families will best be protected with fully operating and functioning fire stations.
