Katharine Schweighardt worked as a teacher for the Teach For America organization in New Orleans when Hurricane Katrina destroyed the area. Schweighardt is one of several teachers that were displaced and is now training and working at a Disaster Recovery Center helping other victims of Katrina and Rita apply for recovery aid.
