Students from Davidson College in NC have adopted this home as a volunteer restoration project. Flooded by Hurricane Floyd rains, the interior of the house suffered extensive damage and required wholesale gutting. The students will now rebuild the interior, including walls, flooring and appliances. Until the work is finished, the owner of the home, Bettye Mooring, and her 99-year-old mother live in temporary housing in FEMA's trailer park in Rocky Mount, NC. Photo by DAVE GATLEY/ FEMA News Photo
