Students from Davidson College in NC have adopted this home as a volunteer renovation project. The damaged material piled in the foreground came from the Hurricane Floyd flooded interior of the home. The students plan to completely restore the dwelling, including replacing walls and appliances, before owner Bettye Mooring and her 99-year-old mother return.
