Yerba Buena Ice Skating Center

The Yerba Buena Ice Skating Center offers a place for figure skaters and hockey players to practice, free skate and participate in games. The rink is San Francisco's only year-round option and organized programs are offered all week for an average of 18 hours each day and there are also a number of hours dedicated to public free skate. Skating lessons are offered for both figure skaters and hockey skaters and are available at all skill levels. The rink also hosts private instruction programs, a youth and an adult hockey league, skating sessions for seniors, adult pick-up hockey games, synchronized skating and the Brian Boitaino Youth Skate Program. Skate rental is available for visitors for both hockey and figure skates. The capacity of the building is 1,100 and the rink is capable of holding about 500 people. Seating is available for spectators. Visitors to the center can enjoy food and beverages from the Snack Bar or Mo's Grill, located above the bowling center. Guests also have access to a number of vending machines throughout the center. The center offers a full-service pro shop featuring a variety of supplies for both skating and bowling. The center is the practice home of Brian Boitano, the four-time United States National Champion and Olympic gold medalist figure skater.
