Walt Disney Family Museum

Located along Montgomery Street in San Francisco, California, the Walt Disney Family Museum gives tribute to the man behind the dream, Walt Disney. As of 2010, the venue was under construction and in the months ahead will be engaged in building a unique and interactive database to engage visitors about the personal and professional accomplishments of a remarkable American artist. Curated by Disney historians Richard and Katherine Greene, this searchable content will employ an imaginative use of text, film, video and audio, as well as never-before-seen assets of our Museum collection. Walt Disney's story will be told by his creative collaborators, friends and family members' but many of the most important milestones in his journey will best be shared in Disney's own familiar voice.

On the grounds is the museum cafe, operated by Wolfgang Puck. The café offers a menu inspired by fresh, local ingredients including healthy, organic items and many child friendly selections. There is also a museum store located at the museum and located on the first floor. The Museum Store offers a continually changing lineup of books and objects related to the wonderful world of Walt Disney. The museum provides an interesting look into the life of a dreamer who turned his fantasies into a reality.
