Sea Cliff

Sea Cliff is a neighborhood of San Francisco, California. It is located in the northwest section of the city and named for its large houses and ocean views. It is near the Pacific Ocean and Baker Beach. To the southwest of Sea Cliff is the Presidio of San Francisco and to the east is Lincoln Park. Main characteristics of the neighborhood include the large and opulent houses, which offer Pacific Ocean views. Golden Gate Bridge and Marin Headlands can also be seen from many of the houses.

The neighborhood has China Beach as a public access beach, though most residents of Sea Cliff are the only ones to use it. Famous current and past residents have included Paul Kantner, Sharon Stone, Robin Williams, Cheech Marin, Donald Fisher, and Kirk Hammett. Paul Kantner is the guitarist for Jefferson Airplane. Kirk Hammett is Metallica's guitarist, and Donald Fisher is the founder of Gap.

Sea Cliff is one neighborhood that runs along 49 Mile Scenic Drive. Many of the houses in the community are stacked near each other, though they are palatial homes. Intermixed around them are some lush gardens and landscape to add to the cliff views.
